Chicken Katsu with Katsu Sauce review by Happa Boi
Dakine's Hawaiian Catering's Chicken Katsu didn't just meet my expectations… it roundhouse kicked them to the next level. That chicken was so perfectly crispy I'm pretty sure I heard it whisper "crunch" before I even took a bite. Golden, crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, like it went to finishing school for fried chicken. And the katsu sauce? I considered drinking it straight but decided to remain a functioning member of society. This isn't just comfort food. This is "cancel your plans and take a nap after" food. The kind of plate that makes you pause mid bite and just nod silently in respect and hum involuntarily. If Chicken Katsu had a hall of fame, Dakine's would already have a statue. 10/10. No notes. Would absolutely let it roundhouse kick me again.

Da Kine's Hawaiian Catering did an excellent job catering our event with over 800 people. The delivery was on time, the food was great, and the service was well organized. Communication was clear and easy throughout the process, which made planning smooth. We used Da Kine's a couple of years ago and chose them again for next month because of their great service. We are very thankful and highly recommend them for large events.

Catered the Katsu, Teriyaki and Sushi platters for our DIL's 30th Birthday! We had a Studio Ghibli themed party and the Service was great from our initial quote to delivery! He was right on time and EVERYONE loved the food! You gained a new customer for sure! I would highly recommend.

I have catered a couple of times of about 40-60ppl and everything on this menu is always so good! My mom has always ordered from dakines for years, I used to eat this as a kid and it's only gotten better. Literally not one complaint, food is always there on time as well. Will definitely be catering our next event with them too

Everything from the service to the food speaks volumes for how incredible Da Kine's catering is. You can tell they put a lot of care into their meals and customer service. Growing up in a Hawaiian family, I'm used to having my family's home cooked Hawaiian foods and Da Kine's catering is right on par with all my favorite 'local' eats. The Kalua pig+ cabbage and kalbi short ribs, so ono! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious Hawaiian meal. Mahalo Nelson and team- we look forward to hosting many many more events with Dakine's catering!

Had Dakines cater my retirement party and ordered food for 100 people. Was there on time and the food was amazing. Everyone was commenting on how good everything was and really made the night perfect. Leftovers were left in sealed serving trays for easy transport home. We will definitely use them again and encourage anyone to consider Dakines for their next event.
